World of Goo!

Just been able to access my preview copy of World of Goo which I had preordered for free as I had Paypal credit from Quidco available. I can say that in the short time I've played it this morning, I've really enjoyed it and encourage my friends to take a look too. The closest thing I can compare it to is Lemmings but that's only in the feel of the game. However the gameplay is rather different. The objective is to use blobs of goo to build structures in order to get to the exit point where your remaining blobs go and assuming you've met the quota, you complete the level. The game itself is an independently produced game which is very polished with great music and visuals. It's gonna be coming out on Wii too apparently.

Anyway, watch the trailer and then get yourself to 2dboy.com to grab yourself a copy :)

Also got the similarly independently released Audiosurf to play when I get home tonight. A game where you play a game based on the music track you feed it with Rez like visuals apparently.

I can't download a demo of Audiosurf :(

Incidentally, WHICH Friday do they mean?

Hmm, well full game is out on Steam now, it was available as of 8pm Friday 15th. No idea about the demo tho, one would presume it meant the same Friday the full game was released.
