Pondering MFF 2011

I touched on the subject in my new year's post but I'm keen to do another American convention and I think my finances should be in a good enough place by the time MFF comes by. It's very early days yet but I was curious to know who else was likely to be going to MFF and how I can turn it into a holiday rather than just going there for the convention as I've never been before.

I'm quite excited at the prospect of going to visiting America again and attending another US convention. My last one was FC2009 and I've vowed to be careful with my cash since :)

I'm thinking of going again (I went in 2008 an 2009), but I have already reserved most of my holiday entitlement for EF...

I'm skipping EF to make room for a US convention.

Hey, I've pretty much already said I'm going! How about some recommendations on things to do to make it a holiday rather than just a convention trip? :P

I don't think I've mentioned this to you via any other social networking mediums recently, but I'm planning on doing MFF2011. Though I imagine I'll end up having to do just the con if it goes ahead. Indeed this was partly what held me back in 2010, in that I don't know any other folks in the US really.

Ah, well it was evident from last year's con to me that it seems I know quite a large number of folks who go to MFF which encouraged me to consider it more :)

It's pretty much definite I'll want to go to MFF this year - and make a holiday out of it too :)

Yeah, I wanted to talk to you as I had you in mind as a travel partner!

That'd be an 800 mile drive! Potentially interested but I'll let you know. Working out things with Rallicat.

Would be nice to see the Thanksgiving parade in New York after the con :)

MFF definitely is not a bad con at all. Perfect fursuit weather (as far as the US cons I've been to goes) and nice time slot. I've made a point to go to it regularly for the last couple years.

It's not as obese and out of control as Anthrocon is but not tiny like some of the smaller cons. It's a good sized con.

Besides, "Hi... I'm Bill Paxton... and I want you to go to MFF"

Hope to see you there Bill :D
