eBuyer finally delivered my replacement case today. No-one was in to sign for it but that didn't stop CityLink from signing for it themselves and leaving it on my doorstep...

Anyway, after my brother expertly transferred my computer's innerds from one case to the other (so glad he did this for me, I'm all thumbs when it comes to the hardware side of computers), I've now got it all plugged in and it looks rather spiffy.

Due to lighting problems, I've taken two photos, one with the flash on and one without. If you click the links below, you'll see why :)

Boggle. You'd damn better have some nifty components in the computer, or I'll call you a fool for paying good money for the case instead of more bits to go inside!

The only thing that's lagging in the machine is the CPU (AMD 1Ghz) but otherwise, it's pretty good :)

Have the ABIT NF7-s nForce2 MoBo, 512mb of 400mhz DDR PC3200 RAM and GeForce 4 Ti4200.

The case was only £45 anyways ;)

blimey, looks like you got the one up from mine. (I have no interior lighting or windows in the sides) Spiffy though!

Does it have the screwless interior?

bah, the hardware side of computers is /so/ easy, everything can only go into the place it's designed for, you just have to be careful not to zap it :)

There speaks the man who's never had to install an extra hard disc on a machine with unkeyed IDE sockets on its mainboard that didn't have pin 1 marked.

In six years of supporting 100 miscellaneous computers, I've come up against all sorts of other similar problems, I can assure you...

It's not a screwless interior no, it doesn't even use thumb screws. The model that was 3 times the price did and was aluminium but I really couldn't justify £150 on a case when £45 would do the job :)

Or, if you don't want to spill any on your CPU, you could always get a rackmount fridge.
