Finally finished it! :P

slycatYep, I finished reading the latest Harry Potter book on the train home yesterday. Took me a while cos it's liek a massive book and at times where I could have read it, I chose to sleep instead. Anyway, after a week and a bit, I've got all the way through it. My verdict, without giving too much away, is that it was a worthy addition to the series and furthers the story answering some questions asked by the previous books. However, I did feel that the whole coverage of the exams was rather drawn out and dull, it reminded me of doing my own exams back in school... I guess that was half the idea of the author's tho, to make children take their exams seriously and stuff but it doesn't make for good reading, especially when it's covered in over 200 pages where the story doesnt actually progress.
They finished the story nicely but with the start of the next story... I expect it'll be at least 2 years until we can see what happens next. I hate having to wait! :P At least I won't have to stay up past midnight anymore just to see what happens next in the story!
(Grr! Due to f*cking LJ, my "cluster" was down for all of last night meaning I couldn't post entries and no-one could comment on my journal. I hope they fix this by having journals on multiple clusters in the future to avoid such problems. I sometimes wonder I I pay for LJ...)
