Water, water, everywhere...
Aug. 24th, 2004 07:35 pmAnother British summers day, another torrential downpour. Today it looked particularily bad where I was. I was beginning to worry that I may need to swim home from work! Fortunately, the rain which had been pretty much continuous since the start of the day stopped just before I was due to go home. So miraculously, I didn't get wet on the way home. It was quite obvious that many roads weren't made to withstand such rain however as some roads were either partially or completely underwater! As it wasn't raining and I had my camera phone with me (great thing about camera phones is that you need your phone with you at all times so if you ever need to take a snap of something interesting, it's there to use) and so took some photos of the mess.

This was taken from a small road just ouside my work, the entire road was flooded

This was taken from the main road on my way to the train station

Finally, this was on the main road outside the train station - no more pavement!
Yes, possibly a selection of dull photos there but I thought it was pretty cool at the time. I guess it's just interesting to see such chaos caused by a small freak of nature.
