Yesterday I was feeling pretty down due to stress from excess workloads and having to work overtime for the second day in a row.  When I left there was still a number of unanswered emais but a MSN message from my boss saying "I know you're trying hard but you must try harder" after haing a late response on one email was the final straw, I had to go home and relax.

Once I was home, I hopped on the usual instant messengers and IRC channels and chatted to some folks as I usually do but it was only after a suprise conversation with [livejournal.com profile] quaxo that I started feeling better.  He was offering Gmail invites in channel and I thought it would be nice to sign up for one of those so I can dump my awful hotmail account as my permanent account.  Enended up having a nice conversation with Quaxo about various stuff but I realised that I had known of him for 5 years now and never really chatted with him, which prooved to be quite a refreshing experience :).

Knowing [livejournal.com profile] quaxo for five years and never chatting with him proved to be a refreshing experience? (-8

Don't knock it until you've tried it :)

Quaxo is the best *nods*

As for an msn from your boss, that's out of order. And rude.

My boss often works from home. We all use MSN at work to communicate so it's not unusual for the boss to talk to me via MSN. It's a work MSN account afterall. However what he did say wasn't on, he could have worded it better to be honest. He was complaining that I hadnt replied to an email from an important client in 6 hours of receiving it basically.

Considering how typically pedantic you're being, I'm suprised you didn't pick up on the typo either ;) Maybe I should have rewritten the final line as:

"I realised that I had known of him for 5 years now and never really chatted with him, and so having a nice conversation with Quaxo about various stuff prooved to be quite a refreshing experience :)."

Shh! In talking to him, you're depriving him of the experience! You can't talk to him for 5 years so he can see how refreshing it is ;)

Ah it wasn't just Quaxo who cheered me up, but it was a more unusual thing which happened, hence it was made noteworthy :)
