Sims 2 sucks time into a vacuum

Weird.  I sat down to have a go on Sims 2 which I had recently 'acquired' at 8.30pm and before I knew it, it's 11pm.  Either the Sims is a black hole sucking hours of my time into it, or it's those pesky aliens again.

Hmm, this version of the game doesn't appear to save games anyway.  Probably best I don't buy it as it would probably result in many yars of my life lost :P

I liked playing the first Sims last year, I made a family with Tim, Scruff (or Quaxo our adopted son) and me. Then I got bored and made one with me and Tim and Someone Else in and made them all get off with each other, the domestics that ensued after that were quite amusing :)
