Can't believe it's 9pm already, I've done nothing today...

I wasn't expecting much in the way of presents this year as I'm getting older and you get used to receiving less presents.  However, I did get the one thing I did want this Christmas, and that was the Half Life 2: Collectors Edition, which I subtly hinted at my Mum to get and gave her the cheapest site to get it ;).  While the game comes in a nice tin, the contents aren't all too impressive over the regular edition.  You get a "hint book" which is more of an introduction to the game and is more what I expected the manual to be, you get a limited edition HL2 t-shirt which is in large so it's skin tight on me... and as a final bonus, you get the original Half Life game, remade in the new graphic engine.

In addition to the game, I got some chocolates (including a yard of Dairy Milk), socks and gloves, toiletries and some cash from the parents, got Clerks (the animated series) DVD, David Gorman DVD and The Law of the Playground book from my brother and £20 from the grandparents :).  As people may know, I've been pretty skint this Christmas season, so I only got close family stuff. Got my brother a Hybrid CD, my Dad a Monty Python DVD boxset and Mum a Delia Smith book and a Norah Jones CD/DVD album (which turned out to be the wrong female artist CD she was after... bah).  Incidentally, I got all that lot in one Amazon order so my Christmas shopping was pretty harmless this year.

The grandparents came round for Christmas dinner which was untraditionally roast beef.  Much nicer than turkey any day :).  Learnt from Gran that there's a history of diabeties in the family which got me worried.  I don't think I'd be able to live without sugar! :P

Anyway merry christmas to all, I hope you all had a good day and got presents you wanted :)

30mins total for me, not a huge amount of time considering the data it needed to install, the decrypt bit only took about 10 mins, if that.

PS. If you click the link to Half Life 2 in my post, I expect you may be upset by the price ;)
