Holiday plans #2

Following my previous post, It seems once I set the ball rolling, there was no stopping my thoughts on how I would plan the holiday.  In my mind, the plan is now as follows:

18th Jan: Fly out from Heathrow to San Francisco and make our way to San Jose for the FC2006 hotel.
19th - 23rd Jan: Do FC2006
24th - 26th Jan: Check out of FC hotel and go back to San Francisco. See Alcatraz and stuff.
26th - 30th Jan: Travel down to LA and go to Six Flags Magic Mountain amongst other stuff (Edit: Ack! Scratch plans to go to Six Flags, looks like it's closed in Jan, the only month they are fully closed... shame really, was looking forward to that.)
30th Jan: Fly back from LAX to Heathrow

Looking at flights for what I'm after on STA Travel, it'll cost £210 (plus tax) to go with BA which is fine with me.  The only real problem is the hotel costs.  At least the FC hotel is $99 a night , sohared between 4 people that's quite affordable.  However the San Francisco and Los Angeles hotels could be expensive unless maybe I can find some furs in the area to accomodate us :P.

I really need to get off my arse and save up some cash for my next con. If I'm lucky, it'll be FC2007...

You can count me in. I've never been to a con and I've never been to America, so this sounds like a great opportunity to me. Plus its in 2006 so that means its the "new" holiday year ^^ I may have trouble with visas, but with appropriate planning I think that can be overcome. Hope to get in touch with you sometime.
