No FC for me
Oct. 14th, 2001 10:56 amSheesh.... looks like everyone I like is going to the Further Confusion furry convention. I've still yet to go to a furry convention abroad or otherwise. The closest thing I've been to that even vaguely resembles a convention is the Therians meet ups in Reading area.
I had plans to go to last year's AnthroCon but those plans fell through as I was living in London and supporting Shinji who didn't have a job and therefore couldnt possibly afford to go through with it and even if I had gone, it would have had to be without Shinji.
Now I hear that Further Confusion is approaching, America's largest furry convention, on the west coast of America which i've not had the chance to visit yet... I would have really liked to go. Not only because lots of my favourite furs from the UK are going (AceFox, Glis, Ruin, NomadFox, and more), but because I've not been able to meet many of the furs I chat to online and stuff.
I imagine it would be a great atmosphere with all the artists and fursuiters and stuff.... Oh well, I guess I'll have to perspone my plans to go to my first furry convention until AnthroCon 2002...
Main reason why I can't afford it is because this month I was overdrawn even after getting paid. I have almost £2k outstanding on my credit card and so I think it would be best to get that down first. I also need to be saving for my visit to see Shinji in Winnipeg and also need to be saving to actually move to Canada (Need £5kish) so I have to do a lot of saving and with my current job situation, even that may have to go on hold for a while as I am probably going to lose my job soon and I have yet to find a new job...
