This is to all of you who replied to my previous post

I guess I should partly apologise for my previous post; it was, admittedly, made on the spur of the moment and I didn't look into it before putting thoughts into words. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway, the reason I was depressed was because I hadn't heard anything about it and it felt like a little secret that you lot didn't want me in on. If it was advertised on the LondonFurs list then fair enough, I barely read that list any more anyways, so again, I can only apologise for jumping to conclusions.

With regard to the remarks to my "clique" comment, that comment was intended as a joke hence the use of the ";)" - that comment was never intended to be taken seriously so if you did, then you need to get a clue.

In other news...

Perhaps in an effort to raise the tone of my journal, perhaps I should report some good news and stuffs.

Big news in Sly World is that I'm now under 17½stone! Woohoo! *does a little dance* I havn't been this light in well over a year. The way that I suddenly lost this much weight is due to me not eating too much over the past 2 days. I had half a curry yesterday (Wasn't hungry enough to finish it O-o) and the day before I had some of those microwaveable pizzas. I am achieving my goal - to one day be able to go into a clothes shop and be able to buy clothes I like the look of that fit me ;)

In other news, I guess I can finally tell you about Tuesday night. It's gonna be a bit of an anti-climax really but I want it written down for my own reference anyways. OK, so as you may already know I went to see Kosheen last Tuesday with Dawn from work. Now Dawn is exceptionately open minded considering she's gay and so over the previous week, I had been taunting her with things like "I'm a part of a sub-culture" and stuff. I had got her really wound up about this as she didn't have a clue what it could be and so at the concert, after a few drinks, I finally felt able to tell her. Unfortunately, I was drunk at the time and so when she asked me to explain what furry meant, I wasn't too good at explaining it. Anyways, she seemed rather interested and stuff so I gave her some links to look at such as the LondonFurs site which helped her understand a bit better. Idealy, she needs her laptop fixed so she can look at stuff and talk to me out of work about it. Who knows, she may even want to become a part of the fandom herself... who knows.

I understand that furs will generally find furry of their own accord. "If they are furry, they will come" (Not to be taken as a pun, it's a malformed quote from Field of Dreams ;). Meaning that if folks are truely furry, they don't need to be pointed in the right direction... *shrugs* So anyways, once she bring in her laptop, I can fix it for her (Probably a reinstall job at it's WinME) and she can have a look :)
