Spain Trip, Fursuits and Web Stuff

So, I'm off to Nerja, Malaga, Spain tomorrow after work as a "Team-building" type exercise for work. The flight leaves 9pm from Gatwick so we are going from work. It will arrive in Malaga at 1am meaning we probably won't get to our hotel until at least 2am. The Saturday will include an "Optional" teamwork exercise of climing a mountain. I'm in no state to climb such a thing so I'm opting out of that. There will also be a talk about the way the company is going and that sort of thing. I may even have my annual review I've been waiting so long to have too...

We will be arriving back in Gatwick at 3:35am Tuesday morning - and they expect us to GO TO WORK THE SAME DAY! I start work at 8.30am. Meaning there's next to no time to get home and sleep and go back to work. It's a joke! *sigh* I'm beginning to wish I opted out to the trip now... Hmm I suppose at least it's free and the food is free and the drinks are free...

In other news, I've made the decision to get me a new fursuit. I am quite fortunate in that I live with ruination who is an experienced fursuit creator. This means I will be on hand to help out with fitting and stuff.

As for the design, I'm going to start from scratch. I'm not happy with my current suit and I don't think I ever will. I realise that if I try to clone the official Warner Bros suit, I'll never be happy because it'll never be up to the standards I want. Therefore, I'm going for a completely new style. The suit will be mostly formfitting with some padding (Not much, just enough to give it a toony look). Both Ruin and I hate wrinkles or baggy suits so we will do our best to eliminate that where possible - fortunately, Ruin is a perfectionist when it comes to suits :). I've already chosen the material to be used. It will be a short, thick pile plush to give it that plushie look and feel which I love so much :).

As far as heads go, I will either save up for a OneFurAll head or enquire at a furry costume shop that Ruin has links with to see what they could do. I'll probably use the latex paws Sandroo made for me as the feet for the suit as they'd be about the right size.

Been working on websites too. Have been working on a brand new layout for the fursuit.co.uk site which will be easy to use and navigate. I'm basically splitting the sections currently available into seperate pages. I plan to have a nice, professional graphical look to it. We'll see how it goes. Need to finish my own site too. Not much to do now though - just got the "About Me" page and the individual suits pages to do. Would be working on those now if I wasn't so tired already...

I won't be online again after this until Tuesday night I expect. That pisses me off... Night all.
