Furmeet and foo
Jul. 20th, 2002 10:22 pmThe meet was fun dispite me feeling really tired. I woke up late, at 8.20 cos I accdentally set my alarm to pm rather than am. evertheless, I got to Kings-X around 11ish to find only 5 other people waiting. No-one else arrived so we went off to Forbidden Planet where I got the Chasing Dogma graphic novel starring Jay and Silent Bob. I oogled at digital cameras in the Jessops next door but resisted as I don't really need a new camera right now. Will most likely get one around christmas. I need to think about paying off my credit cards anyways...
We wondered off to the pub and went upstairs to the usual room. A few folks were already there but not many. I stashed my Vanilla Cokes in the fridge for when![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
hawx arrived. There wasn't too many people I usually chatted to there so I shared my comics with orona_red and Nutsy. Nattered with folks about rubbish as usual but didn't do much else. Bhav finally arrived around 3 so I could give him the CDs I promised him (Mysterious Cities of Gold collection and Dance With Intensity). About 4.30, Hawx finally arrived so I could share the Vanilla Coke. He wasn't too impressed, I guess I hyped it up too much or something. Everyone else seemed to love it tho (Guess Hawx is just an ungreateful git! ;)
Folks were wondering off or going home by 5 so I decided to take some furs (bhavfox, Orona, timmypup and Trukkle) to Namco for some DDR but unfortunately it was being hogged by a large group of girls so we had a 4-way game of Daytona in which I won :) Um, watched Tim on the drum machine and get applause(!), went downstairs, Bhav played Galaga while me and Trukkle played a strange Ice Hockey game (Which I lost at) and then we played a round of bowling which I lost spectacularily at... :P DDR machine still wasn't free so I had a go on Air Trix and then we left.
Was a fun if quiet day. Got to know Trukkle and Akira better. Both interesting people :)
Oh, as we had time in the train station, Tim and I browsed the Sanity music shop where I picked up Gorillaz - G Sides to listen to on my way home. Unfortunately, my batteries had run out so I had to listen to the radio going home...
Um, that's about it. AC report still pending. Hopefully tomorrow!
