w00t! No more dodgy chinese clone card :D

Finally got my computer to work again after removing my crappy chinese clone of a 64Mb Radeon 8500 (that I had bought through a misleading Yahoo! Auction) and replacing it with a nice and sturdy 128Mb MSI Ge-force 4 Ti4200 :D My brother kindly offered me the card as he was replacing his for one with a quieter fan (I kid you not). Will be £140 so that's fine. I get paid on Friday so I can pay him then. It's worth it to have a decent robust PC again. I shouldn't have so many random blue screens and stuff now. This card does everything my Radeon did but is stable and performs better than a real Radeon 8500! I'm chuffed. Hopefully, I'll get something back for the dodgy card I've replaced. Also my brother upgraded my power supply from a 250W to a 300W for no cost cos he's nice like that :)

I need to go and take advantage of this card by playing many a 3D game... Starting with GTA 3!

Fursuit Update

OK, I really need to get a plan of what I want the final thing to look like before we can plan most things. Sandroo has asked me to see if I can get a design drawn up by an artist so we know what to aim for. I'm basically after a front, side, back and top view of what the suit will look like.

As for a description, I have been basically been telling people that I'm going for an anthro plushie kinda look but with not with a gigantic head, one that is more in preportion to the rest of the suit. I don't want it to look like a person in a suit, it's gonna be padded out so will be able to disguise the human inside. I specifically do not want it to look like another Sylvester clone, I really want it to look unique. I'm still looking for it to be a toony (not super deformed, a bit more anthro really), black and white cat. Tuft of brown hair perhaps on top like in my LJ icon perhaps... I'll leave the rest to the artist as I don't want to restrict them too much with an idea - want them to be able to include their own ideas. :)

white_wolf has agreed to sketch me something which will be great. Hopefully I can get some other artists to have a go too so I can see what is closest to what I'm after.

Hee! I'm getting all excited again as I know I'll hopefully be able to finally produce a suit I'm totally happy with. There will probably still be something I'm not happy with as nothing's perfect but that wont matter. this should really be my definitive effort at a unique suit. I plan to be showing it off at AC2003 but will possibly have it completed before then.

I'm off to bed now... Tired and more work in the morning :P
