Saturday, I met up with some friends I've not seen in ages who I used ot see all the time and we went into town to do some shopping and see Signs. I bought myself the fantastic "Are You Dave Gorman?" by Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace (Which I've read the first few chapters of and am finding it a really addictive read) and also "Frank Skinner" by Frank Skinner (Which I've not read yet) in the HMV 2 for £10 deal.

Signs was really good and would have been even better had we gone later in the day. Alas, as we saw an early evening showing, the entire row behind us was filled with really loud young girls who couldnt keep their mouths shut for the entire movie. I mean if they are going to pay to watch a movie, you would think that they would want to actually see it wather than chat and giggle for the duration. I found the film itself to be genuinely scary at parts (Towards the end) which has got to be a first for me for a film. Would have been nice if the aforementioned girls didn't scream as loud as they could at every moment... bleh.

Today, I cleaned up the house as best I could in anticipation of the return of the parents. Of course when they did return they still found some things to complain about. It seems that even though we (me and my brother) did as much as we could, the parents still found somethign to complain about. Regardless of this, it was nice to have them back after 2 and a bit weeks. They brought t-shirts, american chocolate (Hersheys? Yuk!) and approx 1000 photos (I kid you not - my dad has one of those 1gb microdrives for his digicam).

At the moment, I feel as though I'm coming down with a cold. Got the runny nose, sore eyes, headache, sore throat, etc. Just the way to start another tiresome, stressful, depressing week of work tomorrow...
