Not posted for a bit for lack of interesting stuff to write about. Now that I have something vaguely worthy of note, I shall record it here.

OK, firstly, I had my AIWA MD HiFi on AdTrader for £150 and it also gets printed in the local FreeAds, all for free. Today was the first day that the advert was made public and when I got home, I had 2 messages on my answering machine. Unfortunately both were the same person but I gave him a ring at 8pm and we arranged for him to come over at 9pm. I was very ameturish on the phone but I suppose that come with it being my first ever phone sale. I quickly ate my dinner and then set about cleaning up the hi-fi and setting it up downstairs. After much dusting and cleaning I had it all set up in the living room and it looked rather decent if I do say so myself.

Come 9pm, bloke arrives, I shake his hand and show him to the hi-fi. I demonstrate the mini discs and the CD playing and he seemed quite impressed and decided to take it. I also threw in the MD only albums I had as I had no further use for them. He paid the full price, no questions asked which I wasn't really suprising. Was half expecting him to knock me down as I didn't sound so confident on the phone. Wasn't so much the case when he had a look at it though. Only down side was that I didn't see the cash really as £150 is the magic number that I pay rent every month so I just gave the money to mum and will save myself paying the rent come pay day.

Next story of vague interest, I have been using my idle time at work to download illegal software and movies while at work. No-one cares really as long as I do it descretely and still do my work. I had downloaded the 2 disc images of Battlefield 1942 and Fifa 2003 totalling around 3gb so the only real way to get it home was to put it on the crappy laptop they gave me for work. However, I've had problems transferring this to my home PC as I'd have to copy the files to my brother's PC and then to my PC. As this used my brother's network bandwidth, he naturally got annoyed at this and stopped me from doing it. What I decided to do to rectify this situation was to nick me the spare little hub from work, get some network cables and connect my PC to the laptop that way. I did that recently and it all worked nicely. However, I failed to notice that the hub is only a 10 Base-T one and is therefore quite slow! I guess that's why it wasn't being used... :P My brother then says, "Why didn't you just get a network cable and connect the laptop to the cable router?". "D'oh!".

Finally, the least interesting of all, Disney's Toontown is still not accepting international orders unlike they said they would be by today. They have delayed it to be fixed until Friday now. I will loose my character and all the hard work I did should they not have it online by Monday and so if they do take that long, I won't bother paying. I really did enjoy playing it and even if it was simple, you did get a good sense of achievement completing tasks and gaining more weapons and skills. Plus had a few people I liked to go around with taking over buildings and stuff. Blah! Would be really annoyed if I lost all that :-/ I just hope they don't delay the international payments any further...
