LAN party goodness
Jul. 5th, 2003 10:34 pmWent to a LAN party today and had fun playing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Unreal Tournament 2003, Battlefield 1942 and Tron 2.0 (multiplayer demo).
Tron 2.0 was suprisingly fun. It was just the multiplayer demo but playing 6 player light cycles can be rather fun! Can't wait to see the full game. I hadn't played the new wolfenstein before and quite enjoyed playing this version. Basically, you are given a mission based scenario kinda thing like you would in single player mode but it's multiplayer. It's like a step up from Battlefield's conquest mode.
Throughout the day, I somehow managed to consume an entire 2litre bottle of Vanilla Coke and not eat much else other than a bag of crisps and a box of Jaffa Cakes. This has left me with that kinda caffiene jittery feeling you get, hence the disjointed nature of this LJ entry. Not too pleasant.
At LAN parties, there's often the chance to nick stuff off other people's hard disks that they have kindly shared over the network. Today was no exception, I managed to get me a copy of the SVCD DVD-rip of Phone Booth, TOCA race Driver, Chaser, Postal 2 and the first CD of the SVCD DVD-rip of Daredevil.
In all, it was a fun day out, my new case went down well with those there, it was just a shame more didn't turn up. Apparantly it was due to the short notice but there will be more next time. Met up with one of my kinda friends from my old tutor group in Secondary school at the LAN party so was nice to catch up with old times and find out what people are doing these days.
Um, nothing really planned for tomorrow apart from a pub lunch with the family. I'll probably play the aforementione dgames and see about getting some more coursework done.
