As the price has finally dropped for the XBox, I've decided to go off and get me one tomorrow (Saturday).  I'm not too sure what games to get.  I want Burnout 3 and OutRun 2 but they aren't out yet.  So I might get Project Gotham Racing 2 as that's like the second sequel to Metropolis Street Racer for the DC which I liked so much.  I might get Chronicles of Riddick as that's got suprisingly good reviews just about everywehre at the moment (Even in Empire magazine, who hated the film).  Other than that, I'm not too sure.  Might pick up Halo if it's on cheap but I'm not that bothered with that to be honest as I have plenty of FPS on my PC :)

Also tomorrow, I plan to meet up with some of the HantsFurs croud as there seems to be lots of them in Southampton tomorrow.  [livejournal.com profile] timmypup is also there so it'll be nice to see him again.

Fucknuts!

I had a haircut appointment booked got 9.15am this morning.  I had set my alarm for 8am so I had plenty of time to get myself ready. However I awoke to the sound of my brother using the toilet at 9.30!  Gah!  I gotta wait until Friday to get a haircut now... and I could really do with one.  It's starting to look like a mop top or something equally as unfashionable.  Hrmm, I don't know how I was able to sleep through my alarm, I must have been really out of it.  I blame [livejournal.com profile] tktiger and friends cos I was up listening to their show last night.  *grumbles*

So today I bought an XBOX from Gamestation.  I went for the £109 package which came complete with Halo and Midtown Madness 3 plus a bonus second Logic 3 gamepad.  It was £10 more than most deals but those deals were for crap free games like Driv3r and other tosh.  The pack allegedly came with 2 months free trial of XBOX Live, however in reading the leaflet, it states that the offer expired in March this year... d'oh!  I also got myself Project Gotham Racing (the first one at [livejournal.com profile] straywulf's recommendation over the second one) and Panzer Dragoon Orta in the preowned section in Game for £25 so I thought that would keep me going until Burnout 3 comes out.  The only problem with the new console is that I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to find space for all this stuff.  Next stop, PS2?  Might have a space for it!

Also today, I had the pleasure of meeting up with the HantsFurs bunch in Southampton.  Although, it was almost not to be!  After buying my XBOX and dropping it off with my brother, I called [livejournal.com profile] arakinuk who's number I had, but there was no answer.  I called [livejournal.com profile] tktiger's phone but there was also no answer.  I called the home number given in TK's answerphone message, again no answer.  I was doing this all on route to TK's house and so after calling all of the aforementioend numbers repeatedly, I rang the doorbell.  Again, there was no answer!  By now, I was quite fed up and so decided to go home.  I had left a message on TK's to say as such and then headed for the train station.  Literally as my train was pulling in, Arakin got through to me and said he hadn't heard his phone cos they were in Sega Park and TK had left his phone at home.  So after speaking to Arakin, I made my way to Sega Park, where predictably TK was playing Dancing Stage (DDR).  Bungle challenged me to a game of air hockey which I beat him at.  We had another go and I won again, much to Bungle's dismay as he was expecting to win :).  I also got my exercise on the Dancing Stage game and totally knackering myself out.

The rest of the afternoon involved getting drinks and stuff before going back to TK's flat and generally farting about. Arakin and I got frozen pizzas from the Co-Op, and err that's all really worth noting.  Was nice to finally meet Arakin, he did remind me of [livejournal.com profile] clawz_skunk for some reason... I guess he shares his mannerisms or something :) Anyway, after eating pizzas, Arakin gave me a lift back home in his flashy Mini with neat SatNav system.
