So yeah, the first ever (as far as I know) fur meet held in Bath (the city before anyone makes any lame jokes) was on Saturday.  I've only been to Bath once in this century and I liked the place when I did visit so was looking forward to visiting again.  However, the weather wasn't particularily great this time round.  We started off in the pub after Arctic Fox, Real Desert Fox and The Outkast picked up Shinji and I from the train station.  The full roll call for the pub was rdfRealDesertFox, theodortheo, itstheoutkastThe Outkast, [livejournal.com profile] man1cm0g, [livejournal.com profile] kyyanno, [livejournal.com profile] silvertomcat, [livejournal.com profile] rich_fox, [livejournal.com profile] spidermouse, [livejournal.com profile] benjiskunk, kryistictac, abinturongbinksshinji, [livejournal.com profile] southpaw1805, [livejournal.com profile] branded_bunni, General Baz, Arctic Fox & Big 2 Dave.

We mostly sat in the pub from around midday until 3ish when Fox arrived and we went for something to eat.  As it was close and convenient, most of us went to KFC but some others went in search of a restaurant where you use cutlery.  After that, we returned to the pub, where it seemed that the most enjoyment was to be got from the jukebox.  After noticing someone with a Fopp bag, I asked Tictac where the Fopp shop was as I fancied having a look there (it's a book, music & video store where they have loads of bargains.  Don't have one near me).  Tictac offered to escort me there and gathered interest from other people to go somewhere too.  So after some time, we all left to go to the shops.  I got myself a copy of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code and Lemon Jelly's '64 - '95 on DVD as I didn't realise they released the albuim on DVD too.

We then made our way down to WH Smiths as there were some more furs to join the group.  They were [livejournal.com profile] anthropuppy, [livejournal.com profile] clawz_skunk and [livejournal.com profile] mhisani.  Once we had met up, we made our way back where we came from to go to Starbucks.  We just sat upstairs there nattering and stuff until I got bored and decided as it was around 7ish, I'd want to go home.  It seems that many other people were feeling the same (possibly due to the heat in Starbucks) and so we all left as a group to the bus station here some people departed and then on to the train station.  Everyone left apart from myself and Theo got the train to Bristol so I just nattered with Theo for a bit about how the meet could have been better before getting my own train home.

It was an alright meet, was nice to meet some new people in a not overly crouded environment.  Just a shame about the weather and the order we did things really.  Still it's early days yet, maybe future ones will be a bit more organised.  As I was saying to Theo, it would be better to do shopping and sites and stuff first and end up in a pub, not the other way around.  Bath is pretty much dead once the shops close.
