Weekend update
Mar. 21st, 2005 12:13 amNot a whole lot been going on at work worth noting, however the boss is back from his holiday so instantly there's more stress and also, I've had the pleasure of training a new member of the technical support staff. Dunno if he'll be good enough for the job yet, only been there 3 days so too early to tell.
This weekend, I'm into my overdraft. I can't go more than £50 into my overdraft because once my £200 loan payment is taken, I'm over my £250 overdraft buffer and have to pay for the privilage. All because I paid too much off on my CCs at the end of last month :P. Anway, despite being skint, I somehow managed to have an enjoyable weekend regardless.
I went to London with my brother and saw Robots on the IMAX cinema today which is quite an impressive feat when you've got no money. However, my bro wanted to go see it cos he's a technophile and so likes IMAX presentations and a CGI film suits the medium well. He offered to pay for both the travel and the film ticket until I can pay for it! Woo! The film was really good, it had me sucked in emotionally and so could empathise with the characters and stuff. I never used to do that, maybe I've become more of a softy in my old age. It was amusing in some parts mostly due to Robin William's comedy relief character, Fender however I found that rather it be more a case of non stop slapstic comedy as Ice Age was, it was more character and plot driven. It was full of clever ideas of ways robots would use robot for mundane tasks in this alternative reality, kinda in the sae way The Flinstones use dinosaur appliances. Oh, it goes without saying that Marble Madness fans will love the sequence when Rodney arrivces in Robot City! Also, it did indeed look supurb on the IMAX screen.
Oh, it's also worth pointing out I weighed in at 18st 2lbs this morning, the lowest I've weighed in some time now, and that's before all the walking about London I did. I hope I can break through the 18st barrier which has been my sworn enemy all this time. Anways, it's back to mundane Monday tomorrow so should best get some sleep.
