Looks like I'm overdue for an update as I've not posted anything for a fortnight.  So, what have I been up to?

Well, last weekend, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] rapidofrog and some other furs in London to watch a TV show being filmed there called Blunder.  It was billed as a comedy sketch show starring David Mitchell (Peep Show), Rhys Thomas (Nathan Barley) and some other people.  However, David Mitchell wasn't actually present in the studio as it seems all he did for the show was one character in various pre recorded sketches.  The whole thing was pretty unfunny with jokes and situations which didn't work and were just poorly conceived and written.  The best thing about the show was the warm up guy (or the fluffer as I affectionately referred to him as :P) who did a good job of getting the crowd going.  Sadly, despite they were recording our laugher for the VT and stuff, the material was rarely funny enough for the audience to laugh.  However, despite all the downsides of the show, just watching a show being filmed live in itself was a great experience.  Be nice to do it again sometime but see something good :).

On Wednesday, had a bit of a minimeet locally in Southampton at The Hobbit pub. It was organised by FoxyDragon who I had only briefly met before.  To my suprise, quite a few people turned up, around 12 people in all including a number of people I had never met before.  It suprised me that there were so many furs in Southampton!  Anyway, it was a nice relaxed attitude and was good to get to know people a bit better.

Yesterday (Sat), I went to the LondonFur meet. Got there pretty late and had to leave relatively early, but had a good time while there.  Was great to chat with folks like [livejournal.com profile] rasetsugalford and others as always.  I passed on the black and white tail White Wolf made for me back in 2002 to [livejournal.com profile] puddy_tat_uk who seemed to be happy with it.  I had already bought another tail at FC (as I didn't have my fursuit there) and don't wear tails outside of cons anyways so was nice to give it to a good home.

Left the meet early with [livejournal.com profile] arakinuk to visit [livejournal.com profile] calgor in time for the Doctor Who finale.  Calgor made some really nice oriental stuff (yes, he made me try oriental stuff, and I liked it!) after the show, and the evening finished with episodes of Eerie Indiana and Blazing Saddles.  Today, we went down to Bluewater to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which was a great film.  Just a shame it was made as a 2 parter cos I hate year long hiatuses :P
