Had another great weekend, this time courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] avalanche_wolf who was visiting this weekend and [livejournal.com profile] bungle_bear who joined us on the Saturday for Nandos, Kung Fu Panda at the cinema before watching the conclusion to Doctor Who. Just to recap as I didn't blog it previously, last weekend I had a great time with [livejournal.com profile] arakinuk visiting for the weekend and [livejournal.com profile] bungle_bear and [livejournal.com profile] beaitchtwo joining us on the Saturday for Nandos, Wanted at the cinema before watching Doctor Who... hmm there's a pattern here somewhere ;). Incidentally, I loved Wanted, had very impressive visuals which you'd expect from director Timur Bekmambetov but now he's got Hollywood's backing so it makes it all the more spectacular.

Anyway, this weekend it was the second time I had gone to the new Nandos in Southampton and while I opted for the safe medium spicy option, Bungle went for extra hot and decided it wasn't hot enough and topped it with their "Extra Extra Hot" sauce:

I also grabbed a video of him trying it but it wasn't as comical as Avy and I had expected. It seems that Bungle has developed an asbestos tongue recently... though they do say spicy food burns twice (sheesh, I think that may have even been an ASB quote, I'm such a furry!). After Nandos, we walked to the Odeon for a viewing of Kung Fu Panda. We opted for the premier seating with the expectation that we wouldn't be seated next to noisy children and the like, and also got better leg room which is always nice. I thought that the film itself was very formulaic as far as animated films go, but it as done really well with some great action, gret dialogue, great characters and a great sense of humour. I certainly look forward to seeing it again when it comes out in some HD form :)

After the movie, we headed back to my place (via Krispy Kreme) to catch the conclusion to Doctor Who which was a suprise in that the doctor didn't regenerate after all. I thought it would have been a pretty well guarded secret to have a new doctor with no warning before hand. I thought it wrapped up the series nicely, you could say it wrapped up the past four series and spinoff series off nicely (at least I can hope there's no more Torchwood). Following Doctor Who, Avalanche got suited up:

I got suited up as well shortly afterwards as [livejournal.com profile] rapidofrog and Bungle went off to pick up some food. Stayed suited until they arrived back but had to change again to eat the food. Fursuits and pizza don't mix sadly :P

Today had quite a quiet chilled day, though it did involve visiting Sega Park. [livejournal.com profile] tk_tiger was working there today so he gave both myself and Avy 4 games for the price of one on Outrun 2SP which was cool (outcome was we both won 2 each). I also spent 50p on the Pac Man 10p pusher game and won £2.60 back which was nice :D. Shortly after had to say goodbye to Avy who had a 4 hour journey ahead of him.

In conclusion tho, was the end of another great weekend. Certainly did well to put my worries about moving and work out of my mind, though I expect I've got another tough week ahead of me. I've a few flats lined up I want to view over next week however, looks like there's some good ones out there. Just hope I don't have any problems with my job in the future which could result in me not being able to afford it...
