Finally I have got to my week off where I can escape the stresses of day to day work. I had stayed after work until 8pm (I start at 8am) both on Thursday and Friday as I needed to get all my outstanding work out the way. Was quite a relief to finally achieve an empty inbox - also of course means I go back to work on Monday nothing outstanding :) There is a down side to me taking this week off. If all my previous plans had gone the was I wanted, I would be off tomorrow to embark on a trip to New York followed by AnthroCon in Philidelphia and then on to Washington D.C. but alas it was not to be. I originally booked my trip before I knew my company would be closing it's Southampton offices, forcing me to go to London (Even though I wanted to anyways) to continue my job and so I have the added problem of finding myself and Shinji a place to live. This has of course mean't that I am now low on money when I used to be used to having lots of money to spare. I am also having to support Shinji until he gets his act together and gets a job... And so as a result of all this as I know I would most likely want to spend around a thousand pounds while on the holiday, which I don't have, I have had to cancel the holiday which means I got the money back from the tickets (Minus £70) and I won't have to pay for hotels and stuff. So after cancelling my hols, I originally had two weeks off from work with nothing to do so I changed it to one week off and I have some time to rest from my busy, underpaid job and am able to look for somewhere to live! Wish me luck - I hope to have somewhere to call my own by the end of this week!
