Positive Fursuit News
Aug. 21st, 2006 07:07 pmLooks like I'm in with a good chance of getting the suit (or at least partial) in time for EF after all. Got a call during my lunch from Sandroo saying that Parcelforce had sent a letter saying they were holding a package under my name and would deliver it on receipt of payment for custom duties and VAT.
Looks like it arrived in Parcel Force Coventry on the 17th, the letter was sent on the 18th and obviously it only arrived today. I bloody hate customs... comes from the parcel being marked as worth £200 I guess. Anyway, the payment came to £32.52 which wasn't that bad. I promptly paid it and it should be delivered to Sandroo's tomorrow. Hopefully, Colifox will be able to collect the suit from Sandroo's tomorrow on his way south and I'll collect it from him at the airport tomorrow.
So yeah, it's great to finally get some good news on the subject. I just hope the head, paws and tail don't look too bad as a partial. Looks like I'll have to wear a long sleeve top at least as the paws don't have sleeves.

Date: 2006-08-21 06:18 pm (UTC)I had a false alarm today - the Australia tracking system said there was an attempted delivery at my house this morning, yet the Parcel Force website nor the local depot knew nothing of this... and no card through the door. Grr.
Well, looking forward to seeing yours at least.

Date: 2006-08-21 06:37 pm (UTC)Although I do wish Americans would start marking things as GIFTS and at a price of like £10 - I guess they get customs and excise over there too, so they should know ^_^

Date: 2006-08-21 08:08 pm (UTC)And US Customs don't really care what comes in, as long as it's not Canadian pharmaceuticals.
Excellent news, nonetheless. ^_^
