So what did I do with my weekend? Well on Saturday, I was supposed to be going to the Electric Ballroom in Camden with [livejournal.com profile] bhavfox,[livejournal.com profile] diodiva,[livejournal.com profile] ruination and [livejournal.com profile] hawx but that idea went out the window after people said they couldn't be bothered (and of course [livejournal.com profile] bhavfox wouldn't want to go if [livejournal.com profile] diodiva wasn't ;)).

So instead, I arranged for [livejournal.com profile] hawx to come over for something to do. When he did come over, around 9ish, we went for fish and chips and watched Human Traffic on DVD which I got from play.com for a measley 8 quid.

Next day, I finally managed to persuade [livejournal.com profile] hawx to do something by getting the train in to Charing Cross and walking from there. We weren't too sure what we wanted to do so we really just had a bit of a wonder. [livejournal.com profile] hawx was hungry (As always it would seem :P ) so we dropped into Burger King at the station. Then we set off on foot to Leicester Square where we got some Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Uncertain as to what to do next, [livejournal.com profile] hawx suggested having a walk round Soho. There, we had a walk around via Waldour Street and also Old Compton Street.

After a bit of aimless wondering, we decided to go for a pint in the JD Wetherspoon's "The Moon Under Water" pub on Charing Cross Road. Next stop was CEX for console games and foo but we came out empty handed.

We decided to go to the Trocadero (Still on foot) as our final destination but on the way, we went into the Virgin Megastore on the corner of Tottenham Court Road for a browse. [livejournal.com profile] hawx had a look at the phones and then we went downstairs to the cafe as I need to relieve myself. The cafe thare was quite amazing - it had sort of listening stations at each table so you can listen to a CD at the table and also they had some table top arcade cabinets with such games as Galaga and Pacman :oD. We browsed the music a bit and then went on to the Troc.

At the Troc, we played a game of Dance Stage (DDR to my American readers). I would have done OK if the pads weren't a bit dodgy. Um, played a pinball game or two, I had a go on Virtua Fighter 4 and we ended our visit with a game of a really cool old style vertical shooty game.

Time was around 7pm so we made our way back to Charing Cross Station and got a milkshake while waiting for the next train home. Ate pizza, watched Ebichu and some other stuff and went to bed.

Today, got up late. Went to a pub where I had a mixed grill and a huge chocolate dessert thingy and ended up feeling rather sick :P

I'm gonna go downstairs now and be a bit more sociable... What do you think of the links in this entry? Some are cool, some are not - this is the risk you take ;)

Bye!

The Galaga one is cool, by the way. I suggest you all try that one out :D
