Yesterday I thought I'd have breakfast out as there was no food in the house. Decided on a Wetherspoons pub as they're local and cheap. I noticed American Style Pancakes on the menu so thought I'd see how they do them. When they arrived, they were 3 tiny pancakes, the same diameter as a coffee mug and a small pot of maple syrup (however they did only cost £1.50). I knew this was not how the Americans did pancakes and so when I went to Asda, I got the ingredients I needed to make my own (Bisquick, Milk and Eggs). Needless to say, they came out much better than the Wetherspoons ones. Took a while to work out how to cook them correctly but they look ok and taste great. Sadly I couldn't find any maple syrup so had to settle for golden syrup. Here are the results:

Not the best looking pancakes, but still edible. I plan to try blueberry pancakes next time once I have something to drain the syrup from the tin of blueberries I got.

Now people reading this may wonder why I'm posting about breakfast at 5pm. Truth be told, I thought my body clock was sorted out as I went to bed at a normal UK time on Thursday and had a normal waking day on Friday. However today I woke up at around 10am tried to go online and do things but found it hard to keep my eyes open. Even the can of Mountain Dew I had didn't do anything to keep me awake so I had a snooze until around 2pm and didn't have the motivation to cook the aforementioned breakfast until 3.

Bah, I hope my body sorts itself out by Monday. Also got to do a tonne of washing before Monday too... bah, why can't I still be on holiday? Still got the holiday LJ entries to make as well while I think about it :P
