Next Phone
May. 15th, 2008 07:43 amSo back in February the Sony Erricson Xperia X1 was announced, and I got very excited about it. However recent evidence has show that it's not likely to come out until September (and chances are it may even be delayed beyond that as nothing official's been said). Meanwhile Apple are releasing their 3G iPhone soon, most likely in June. Now the 3G iPhone is packed with features and a beautiful interface which are appealing to any gadget lover like myself. I have two major problems with the iPhone however, the first is that it's made by Apple so no doubt I'll have to install iTunes on my PC just to interface with the phone and ultimately I'd be selling my soul to Apple. The second is that inevitably, everyone's gonna have one of them. I tend to like to go for something that not everyone's got, like everyone has the N95 at the moment. Of course the other problem is the inevitable mandatory £279 payment for the phone itself coupled with a compulsory 2yr contract or whatever O2 decide.
Now, I absolutely hate my Nokia N93 because it's so sluggish just at opening the address book or opening text messages. I've been out of contract since February so am free to move to whatever contract I like. It just depends on how much I'd want to wait for the X1 over giving in and getting the 3G iPhone... Decisions, decisions...
