Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2008 08:40 amHappy Christmas and all that to everyone out there in LJ land!
I must say this year I have probably felt the least "Christmassy" that I have ever felt on a Christmas day. I guess that's mostly due to the fact that I'm living on my own so see little point in putting up a tree and decorations, and also my parents have disappeared off to Ireland to see relatives there for Christmas. However that did mean that we were able to celebrate Christmas early last Sunday before they left.
I wasn't expecting much but I still got some great stuff including some dollars which will come in very handy for my trip next month. I had got my Dad a USB video digitiser so he could preserve his videos on DVD, however I hadn't realised that he had sold his video player and I had dumped my one when I moved... doh! Shall need to get him another on eBay. My bro also got me a neat collection of Amiga and PC demoscene DVDs and a CD of Amiga game music done with real instruments which was rather cool.
However, the best present I've received this year has to be from
arakinuk:

Which is of course, The Internet! Such a thoughtful present, and it's so light (of course, The Internet doesn't weigh anything) and wireless too! If this sounds like total madness to you, then see episode 4 of the most recent series of The IT Crowd - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m8TpzCbHIpg.
Righto, now today in true Vicar of Dibley style, I'll be having 2 Christmas meals today, firstly lunch at my Grandparents followed by dinner at
bungle_bear's. I hope you all have a great Christmas!
