Betting ends!

slycatYesterday, I had a strange feeling of deja-vu thinking that Ireland were gonna win 2-0 today and would be the first time that they've scored more than 1 goal in a World Cup finals match. I had the feeling so strong, I put £20 on it at Blue Square. At 6/1, I stood to win £140 (£120 profit) if I was right.
Turns out my "deja-vu" was infact me catching them saying that they needed 2-0 to qualify and havn't ever scored more than 1 goal in a World Cup finals match from the radio as I heard it again this morning... Oh well, was still a very possible outcome seeing as it was against Saudi Arabia who were beaten 8-0 by Germany and Cameroon beat SA 1-0...
I was exctatic when it did come to 2-0 in the second half but then they went and got the third goal at the last minute! Bah! That's the first and last time I place a bet :P Good job it was only £20 :)
