Almost 2 years ago, my original Xbox 360 Premium died from the dreaded Red Ring of Death failure. Only today is it finally being returned to Microsoft for repairs. Now rather than return the Xbox, I went and bought a 360 Elite a few months later and that's been going strong without any issues ever since. However my original Xbox 360 will be 3 years old as of September this year meaning that the extended warranty Microsoft have for boxes which have failed due to the RRoD will expire.
So, I figured I might as well get off my arse and get the box repaired before it effectively becomes a very advanced paperweight. Not too sure what to do with it when I get it returned. Could sell it but they're not worth much these days. Could give it to my parents but they don't play games (but could find use from renting HD movies perhaps)... we'll see I guess.
