New LondonFur Video & Pics
Aug. 16th, 2009 12:39 pmI shot some footage during the LondonFur meet yesterday and have since put it together into the following video:
To be quite honest, I'm not really happy with it. There were much better locations earlier on during the walk like the Millennium Bridge and Tate Gallery but I hadn't planned to make a video and so was just taking photos. However, at some point on the walk back to the pub, I decided to grab some video.
The locations I did end up filming make London look even more grimy than it should do had I got some footage of the earlier locations. I'm also not pleased with the angles I got. The whole video looks like rather a boring walk from A to B for the most of the time, which to be fair is part of what the walk is, but normally there's more interesting stuff to film, which again happened before I started recording.
I also struggled with the music, because I basically needed to get a single song (as the vid was only going to be 4 and a half minutes long) which was suitable for the footage but also not piss off YouTube. I spent far too long over this and ended up saying "sod it" and bunged a Prodigy track on there. It plays OK but I bet YouTube will poke me about it... I need more music which lends itself to fursuiters doing stuff :P
To be honest, I just wanted to get what I did record online for those featured in it, but I would like to do better things. Would be nice to get an actual camcorder (preferably HD) and a decent PC to cope with it.
Anyway, I'm much more pleased with the photos I took during the meet, so please have a look at those - http://gallery.furmeets.co.uk/main.php?g2_itemId=9768
