slycatI've decided that Fursuit.co.uk is rather outdated and needs an update. Basically what I want it to be able to do is to allow people to register and log in to the site and add links and rate or comment on existing links. The links themselves will remain in the existing categories of fursuit makers, construction resources and personal sites (or member profiles as personal sites are more a thing of the 90's now). For those who aren't logged in, people can just view the links and the functionality of the existing site will effectively remain the same as it is at the moment.
I've played around with the idea of existing content management systems such as Drupal, Mambo and Joomla as they're easily installed onto my site, however they all seem far too complex and broad for what I'm looking to achieve. I would develop it myself but to be honest, creating a system where people can register and log in, manage their profile, submit links and comment or rate those links is beyond me. I wouldn't know where to start with the user logins or how to do the rating system bits specifically.
Surely there's an existing PHP system I can install for the simple usage I'm looking for?
