Yep, cable is still down. At least when the NTL bloke comes on Saturday (Assuming he does), he can see there is something wrong rather than it working most of the time but going down occaisonally or whatever... Anyways, at about 4pm today, we lost our internet connection at work too! Is the ISP's fault apparantly and they never managed to get it back up and running by the time I left at 5.30. This meant that in this time, I had no customer database (For some reason, our SQL database needs an outside connection to function correctly), no emails (woo!), no messenger (boo!) and customers were having data problems! We got the data for the customers sorted out but the office net was still down... I hope it's still down when I go back in tomorrow ;o)

In random news (I always say something like that, makes me sound like a newsreader... but I find it's the best way to start a new topic. Anyway, I digress...) NTL finally sent me a "Final Notice" for my outstanding phone bill. This was particularily impressive as I've not received one bill from them since I moved back from London... I canceled NTL when I moved to London at the start of the year. At which time I paid a lump sum of £150ish to pay for the remainder of the year of my digital TV, cable and telephone service. However, for some reason they never canceled my phone account and charged me £1/mo. I never bothered to pay the bills and neither did I bother to call them to sort it out (As their hold music is infuriating and it takes forever to get through). I was kinda glad I didn't cancel cos when I moved back, I still had a phone line (The NTL cable I use is my brother's from the network) which is handy for when your internet connection goes down and you need to get a dial up connection :). Since when I've used the phone occaisonally but not much and have never got a bill. Until today. Fortunately, it's only £15.86 so I'll pay that off promptly. However, with my digital account, I still get statements through stating that I am owed by them £17! I never bothered to claim it cos I thought they should transfer the credit to the telephone account but it looks like they never have cos they are seperate departments. Bleh, this means a long phone call speaking to a million operators and listening to that infuriating hold music that's on a 30second loop...!

Job paper today. There's another IT Technician job going at a Winchester College which pays more than the local scool job does (But is further away). I'll probably apply regardless as I'm in no position to pick and choose at the moment.

Err, not much else going on in my life at the moment so things are pretty boring. I should really call Paul and arrange our birthdays. I've not even spoken with him in ages. Only 8 days until I'm 22! Eek!
