Gameboy Upgrade
Nov. 9th, 2002 05:43 pmMy ordered Afterburner upgrade for my Gameboy Advance which I ordered from XyraMax.co.uk arrived today which my brother duely fitted. I was going to send it off to get it installed as there's much talk about getting dust and other marks inside the unit but as I'd have to pay to sen it off and it's £10 extra to get the thing installed itself, my brother offered to install it as he's a computer engineer and "takes laptops apart all the time". However, while it was still miles better than anything I could have done, there are still some marks and a tiny bubble visable on the screen... which is a shame.
The afterburner itself is really good - you don't have to worry about getting the perfect light for playing games any more as it has it's own internal lighting. I can even play the Gameboy in complete darkness if I want :D It's not an amazing improvement but is still pretty decent. Unsure if it was woth paying £35 for however.

I havn't posted to my LJ for a while so there's much to catch up on. On Thursday, I met up with a friend who I hadn't seen in ages. I managed to beat him 3 games to 2 at pool which is rare for me. Was interesting seeing what he's doing now and what other people who I have lost contact with are doing since school.
Got the subwoofer for my new hi-fi on Thursday. I wasn't expecting to get my new hi-fi for a few weeks yet but I am now the proud owner of a new subwoofer. However, they are yet to send the rest of the unit so the subwoofer on it's own is useless! At least it gives me time to sell my existing hi-fi.
Downloaded the awesome Macromedia Studio MX today as since I had reinstalled, I was lacking a copy of Dreamweaver MX. The Studio edition contains Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, and Freehand. Everything I'll ever need for web site creating. I wanted to do some updates to my site after I updated the photo albums and now I can. I've redone the photos section and updated the main page (Finally). Will be updating more tomorrow. Watch this space! :)
Off to a curry house tonight as a belated birthday meal with my family. Should be fun. Only problem is that I'm really hungry now but have to wait 2 hours to eat! Bah! :P
