Books and Jobs
Dec. 12th, 2002 10:46 pmFinished Rob Grant's Colony today. It's really quite an entertaining read but just as you're getting into it (Around half way through), everything suddenly changes and you feel a bit disorientated... But then again that's how the character feels so it's probably a good thing. There's a really good unexpected twist and an opening for a sequel (Which I think is planned to be released in 2004). Was sad to finish the book as it's one of those you'd like to continue reading, exploring the world it's created a bit further but then I guess I'll have to wait for the follow up book for that. In the mean time it looks like the author is working on a book called "Incompetance" due for release in 2003 according to Amazon.
Next book for me to read is by Red Dwarf actor, Robert Llewellyn, it's called Brother Nature, I'll write up a mini review of my first impressions possibly tomorrow :).
It's Thursday again meaning it's job paper day. The job paper was alarmingly small this week as it only featured 300 jobs, half the usual. I guess it's due to X-mas. However, there was nothing suitable in there and jobs I've applied for have yet to get back to me... Am I that unemployable? Hopefully once I get more qualifications, preople will be after me rather than vice versa... :)
