Spirited Away DVD
Apr. 24th, 2003 10:06 pmJust finished watching the fantastic Spirited Away DVD which I received today. I had seen the subtitled film before courtesy of Glis about a year ago but it was nice to see the film in crisp DVD vision. Was also interesting to watch dubbed in the English language as you catch a lot more of what's going on. (Interesting factoid: The girl who voiced Lilo in Lilo and Stitch does the voice of Chihiro in this! :P )
I was a little upset about how the DVD itself has been "Disnified". The DVD starts with trailers for the other two Studio Ghibli films recently released on Disney DVD and just before the film itself, you get a nice patronising introduction by a guy who works for Disney explaining how we are in for a treat with the film, ignoring the fact that people who buy the film probably will know what they're getting themselves into...
