Today, I actually did something!

Rather than stay indoors engrossed by Zelda: The Wind Waker (for those who are also playing, I'm at the stage where I need to get hold of some musicians...) and suddenly realise it's time to go to bed again, I actually went out today and got some things done.
The first thing I had to do was to go to the train station and get my many refunds that needed doing arranged. En route, I saw Torque and Finn at Southampton Central station which was unexpected :). The refunding itself took much longer than I expected. The main reason I needed a refund was on "void days", something I only learnt of recently. Every now and then, when the train services are disrupted so much, they declare it a void day which entitles season ticket holders a full or partial refund on that day. Unfortunately, I had thrown many of my old tickets away but I still had a good few left. In the end, I was able to reclaim £41 in cash and probably another £20 is due on my current ticket.
Back in Southampton, I caught up with
kashyfox and did some shopping. I bought myself SSX Tricky for the Gamecube from CEX as it was cheap and was fun when I played on
Bruce's PS2. Also, I got me a GBA-GC cable so I can take advantage of the "tingle tuner" in Zelda ;)
Shopping done, I went to Pot Black and played Kashy at American Pool. After explaining the difference in rules between English and American pool, Kashy went on to thrash me totally :-/ I would say I'm totally out of practise but Kashy hadn't played for even longer than I had. Ah well I had fun and that's what mattered.
That's about it really, my damaged computer case is finally being collected tomorrow so I should get a replacement sometime next week finally. Hopefully this time it will be properly labeled... Uncertain if I will go to the London meet on Saturday. Not been in ages but again most of the people I'd want to hang out with won't be present so I'll probably wait for the following one.
