Perhaps I am but I don't care :) Cos I loved The Matrix Reloaded so much yesterday, I've chosen to see it again on Saturday. I'll be seeing it with [livejournal.com profile] phoenicia and co in Reading as last time so should be fun. I've already booked my ticket ;) I hope that we'll be able to get decent seats this time as when I saw the film yesterday, about 500 people showed up earlier than us (no exaggeration - they were showing it on 2 screens) and we were a good 45mins early ourselves! Then again, it was the first showing so it's to be expected I guess.

I managed to avoid all reviews and spoilers of The Matrix Reloaded before seeing the film and so in doing so, I was able to see the film in a fresh mind. I had a look at some reviews today and it seems that the critics are split over it. Some say it's more of the same (said to be a bad thing but in my opinion this is very much a bonus). Some say there's little plot and loads of special effects (they must have been watching Terminator 3 by accident it seems). However, some say it's great. Personally, I don't really care what the critics say about it, I really enjoyed it and that's what mattered.

As far as the film itself goes, it keeps you entertained from start to finish. They answer a lot of unanswered questions from the last film (which make you go "woah" in a Keanu style way) as well as create more questions which I expect to be answered with the concluding part. The action itself is simply mind-blowing. There's bits that are simply impossible to shoot, like the fight scene with Neo vs Smith where the majority of it is just one shot! Same goes for the car chase. I don't think I'm giving too much away on the film because you probably already know about the fight scene and the car chase. Apologies if you didn't want to know however! :P

I've also chosen to order Enter the Matrix for PC as it should help build on the existing story in Reloaded, as in what was happening while Neo and co were doing their thing. I've heard it's decidedly average in it's own right but it should be good now that I've seen the film. I got the PC version over the GameCube one because I hear that the GC one has ropey controls and the PC one is cheaper (£28 from GamesPlanet).

In non Matrix related news, eBuyer have finally decided that my computer case was damaged afterall and have sent out a replacement. However, there won't be anyone around tomorrow to sign for it so I don't know when I'll get it. Also got Ikaruga got GC disptached today. I'm finding that I have too many games and not enough time to play them all. I should just stop buying games and be sensible until I've finished them all :)

Enter the Matrix is cool. It's nothing hugely original but it's done well and the story's really interesting, which keeps you going when it gets a little bit repetitive. The driving sections help break it up a bit, and there's some variety depending on which character you play (and apparently you don't get all of the plot unless you play through as both characters.) When you see the movie again, keep an eye out for codes and stuff on signs - they're used for hacking the game.

Since you're Matrix obsessed (by no means a bad thing) you should download the Animatrix anime shorts from the matrix website, www.whatisthematrix.com. They're all supposed to be pretty good, but I've only seen 'the final flight of the Osiris' which was on TV on Wednesday. The others are supposed to be on Channel 5 over the coming week too.

Well if you knew I was Matrix obsessed, then you'd know that I've already downloaded and watched all four episodes and will be getting the DVD when it's out ;)
