Why does this always happen on the weekends?

I feel really rough. Had this been a working day, I'd be calling in to take it off. I have a fully blown cold, bunged, snotty nose, headache, sore throat, fever, the works...

Starting with a really painful sore throat on Thursday and became a cold on Friday. I dragged myself through the working day yesterday surviving on Lemsips, Strepsils and Vicks Sinex but of course, now I feel ten times worse. I should have taken yesterday off at least even though I don't feel as bad as this, just so I could get something out of this cold.

I rarely have any time for myself due to the long hours and commute of my job so I cherish the weekends only to have it fucked up by my crappy immune system :(

I'm gonna go back to bed.

It seems my bro had the same illness last week (hence he didn't feel up to going to Lab 4). He said it'd last around a week :(
