Finally, a reason to feel happy! My monitor arrived today and after plugging it in and turning it on, I was blown away... Compared to my old 6 year old 15" Sony Trinitron monitor, this picture is so crisp and bright. The colours are so much more defined. I can't believe the difference changing monitor has made. The tube must have been going on the old monitor. also, it so much nicer to use 1280x1024 resolution, I can fit so much more on screen now. My only worry is games, the native resolution is 1280x1024 but I think my measley 1ghz CPU will only manage 1024x768 smoothly. In other news, NetNames are giving me a real headache over my .name domain. Don't want to linger on the details but they have managed to mess up every day this week. Work's been stressful as we're a man down for 2 weeks but we's got a new version just released and loads of people's systems are expiring. Don't get much free time during the day as a result but hopefully the workload will simmer down over the next week or so.
