On Sunday I went off to town with Paul and his girlfriend and picked up some things. As Paul's girlfriend was with us, we went through loads of clothes shops cos Paul needed some stuff and his girlfriend was helping him get stuff. Despite that, I did get the things I was after.

Firstly, I was after The Bonzo Dog Band (BDB) CD box and so I went off to HMV. I wasn't sure what genre they'd place it under so I went downstairs where allt he comedy, classical and jazz music is sold. Couldn't find it there so asked the bloke at the desk where I could find it. It seemed his eyes lit up at the mention of the BDB and appeared to be quite a fan himself. He was pleased to know that I was interested in getting hold of their stuff and told me what his favourite tracks were and the like. Found out that they had what I was after and it was on the main floor under Rock and Pop. Also picked up the Bill Bailey album on my way up as I'm off to see him in a fortnight.

It was rather chilly with the wind blowing about and I stupidly only wore a t-shirt that day. I needed to get a warm jumper anyway so picked up one as part of the clothes shopping for Paul. Also got a birthday card for me bro and Pikmin and Super Smash Bros. Melee for £25 in Game. Came away having spent far more than I should have, where I was previously getting my finances under control, I've recently gone a bit silly with the monitor and stuf fI bought over the weekend. Needless to say the retail therapy has certainly helped me feel happier considering I hadn't bought myself much over the past months.

Listening to all the MP3d tracks from BDB and Bill Bailey on random on my MP3 player over the past few days has been rather odd. So far, my favourite track by the BDB is My Left Half Of The Drainpipe due to it's randomness and silliness. Some of the Bill Bailey songs sound like they could well have been influenced directly by BDB in style. The CD itself is very entertaining, taking a lot from his Bewilderness show which I have on DivX (Thanks [livejournal.com profile] hawx) but there's plenty of other stuff too. Got me excited to seeing him live and hearing what new songs he's come up with. The new Fluke album is also great, with Another Kind Of Blues being my favourite track.

Smash Bros. isn't that great in my opinion. The gameplay seems rushed and hectic and not rewarding when you land a move. I guess I find myself comparing it to Soul Calibur 2 which is a far superior game. I'll most likely see about returning it to see if I can get it exchanged. Pikmin is an interesting fun little puzzle game which I've not had a chance to play past the first level as I've run out of memory on my card. I've ordered a 64mb card (Yes, more money) to allow me to play it and not need to be so strict on what uses up space.

Watched the first episode of Jam which was quite strange and confusing yet funny at the same time. I missed it when it was on TV so am glad to have the DVD after I enjoyed the My Wrongs short, also based on Blue Jam (which I've yet to get). On order, I have the new album by Plaid called Spokes and also the Lion King DVD to look forward to. In all, I've got plenty to keep me entertained... All while I should really be paying more attention to my coursework... I'll get that sorted.

Not unless I suddenly come into a large sum of money... which is unlikely. Sorry mate, at this rate I won't be going to AC04 as I planned either.
