Another weekend of nothing. Could have gone to the last LondonFur meet in the Jorene Celeste pub but I didn't go due to unwanted aggrevation from the trains. Instead, I went to town and bought me a battery charger (woo, how exciting) and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie on DVD. Cowboy Bebop worked well in the feature length format although it did have quite a slow part towards the end. When the action gets going, it's certainly kick ass stuff!

Saw Kill Bill this evening. It was good but only half a film. It came across almost as a video game at one stage... kill people, kill people, kill people, boss. It's true they don't reveal much of the plot at this stage. It's just about a woman who is out to get revenge. The action sequences are very good but I felt the film was lacking. Hopefully the second half will clear matters up. Pulp Fiction remains my favourite Tarantino film due to the great story and characters and the memorable dialog :)

If today was yesterday, now would be 1.15am. However, it doesnt feel that late. All my clocks apart from my mobile automatically adjusted themselves this morning so I didn't feel disorientated at all. Anyway, I still have to get up in 5 and a half hours for work so I should go to bed now...

Kill Bill, videogame-esque? Mmm, perhaps. Depends how you view it, really. It's supposed to be a tip-of-the-hat to Hong-Kong action films, and compared to them I think Kill Bill has far more depth and character (and style). It's very Tarantino-esque, oddly enough.

Yes, there was one fairly long kill-henchmen-kill-boss sequence, I guess. However, remember at least half a dozen of the henchmen were fleshed out as characters in their own right, the whole thing was done very slickly, and there was a good reason for it to happen.

Also, there was a lot more in the film besides that big fight sequence. A lot more.

Agreed. I liked the way the whole situation could change in a moment for entirely unexpected reasons, too. (Trying to avoid spoilers, here.)

But excessive swearing? What was excessive about it? (-8

I've never heard the word "cunt" used so much, or in a US film :)

Hmm. I honestly didn't notice that. I may have been desensitised. (-8
