Got booted off NTL last night around 9-10ish and havn't been able to get on since. Not sure what the problem was, probably problems with the modem again but I guess it could have been due to this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3223739.stm

Hopefully my connection will be fixed by the time I get home but if I'm not online, you know why...

Just like C4 news said, the sun spots (or magnetic storms) are flaring up for a while and then expected after peaking to drop off over the next century..

So yeah, expect some surges in power grids when the flares reach here, being knocked offline, etc, etc. Nothing to fear, just all part of the way the universe works.
