I was quite alarmed to discover today that the sole my right trainer was literally cracked open as you can see in the pic on the right (Incedentally taken with my new camera phone, in poor lighting without a flash and halved in size before being brightened). It must have happened a week or two ago as I recall thinking it was odd that my right foot was wet after walking in the rain but my left foot wasn't. They've had a good innings, I've had them for well over a year but still, I was quite suprised to see this suddenly happen. Must have happened when I tripped or something. However, this has left me requiring a replacement pair of casual shoes but I'm not too sure what to get. Any suggestions for a suitable replacement would be appreciated. I'm after a dark coloured, skate style shoe with a cushioned sole. :)

I saw on ExtremePie that they are doing exactly the same make and model of shoe which I had before, in my size at sale price but in khaki colour. I like the black ones I have, they go with all the trousers I wear. However khaki shoes would only go with my blue jeans. I'm tempted but I'll give it a miss. I have a few spare pairs of trainers which I can use in the meantime so I don't know if I should wait until the New Year sales or just get something this weekend. I know what I should do... but I'm weak!

If you need a quick fix, I bet some PVA glue would make a watertight seal that would hold for a few days, by the way.
