Totally knackered ¬.¬

I know I should be going to bed earlier but I get too tied into talking to folks online... Due to recent problems with Network Rail outside of Waterloo, my train journey in and out have been increased by at least 30-40mins each way. also the train calls at more stops and there are less trains running so the train gets REALLY packed. Fortunately I get a seat before it does get packed but it means I can't sleep on the train.

All these delays are due to Network Rail (the governemnt run company that are responsible for maintenance of the rails) having an accident at the weekend which resulted in a crane falling over on to the tracks and damaging them (I can vouch that they told the truth about this as I was coming out of London on Sunday and saw the frigging crane on the track, was a wonder no-one got hurt of killed) meaning that the works which were scheduled for the weekend are now ongoing through until Thursday.

In happier news, I made me another LJ icon, this time from a poster (yes, it's a photo of a poster hence the shinyness) I bought at the weekend from one of the few (I didnt' know any still existed) remaining Warner Bros Studio Stores in the UK. Isn't it the cutest? :) Bare in mind it's an A1 poster and, it's just a closeup of Sylvester. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it :) Download the full photo of it here.

Heaviest crane in the UK, it seems, down on the tracks. One can hope Network Rail has a sufficiently comprehensive contract to cover "100 ton behemoth topples over" eventualities. (Would've saved the Empire a good deal back on Hoth, surely)

Hmm, it hardly looked like it was 100 tonnes Looked heavy... but not that heavy :P

And yes, I plan to use that icon for when I'm angry or similar :)
