Saw Paycheck (Don't understand why they didn't rename it Paycheque for us Brits) and found it to be a rather entertaining film. It comes across as a blend of Philip K. Dick's Minority Report and William Gibson's Johnny Mnemonic with themes taken from both. However it still manages to be original in that the main story line centres on the lead character who had 3 years of his memory erased as he worked on a top secret project and he has to try to work out what he was paid to forget through use of 20 items he left for himself after his memory wipe. The Independant review of the film mentioned how it could have been an extended version of MacGuyver because he finds uses for the apparantly mundane items to get himself out of various fixes. Not a rock solid plot but, as I say, was quite entertaining.

I'd rate it higher than most reviewers are giving it... if I had to score it, I'd say 8/10, worth a look if you like futuristic things like this :)

Damn, seriously, I'd have to comepare this flick to Daredevil...

It did nothing at all for me, and I found His acting to be as dire and fucking tedious as the majority of his films barring the obvioius... (see: Kevin Smith...)

Hmm, well as far as Afflek's acting goes, he comes across very wooden to start off with but as the film goes on, he seems to fall more comfortably into the role.
