An update?

Hmm, not really felt bothered updating this for a while. No particular reason, probably cos I've been off doing other things. So what have I been up to? Well at the weekend, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] hybryd in Southampton for a spot of shopping (and to get my glasses fixed before meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] kashyfox at the local pool hall for a few games of badly played English Pool. As Southampton's football team was playing at home that day, all the pubs were rammed with loud football supporters. So after pool, Hybryd suggested that we (Hybryd and I as Kashy had gone home) go to Winchester for a quiet pint. Made no difference to me as I get free train travel anywhere between Southampton and London. All in all, a good day if I do say so myself. Next weekend, I need to catch up with my non-furry friends as I've somehow managed to visit furs 4 weekends in a row now. It's not done my wallet any good.

Other stuff I've been doing is rewriting the members only part of my company's website. As I've now learn ASP (self taught) well enough to tackle anything, I thought it would be a good place to start. I did this without the boss asking me to, I did it cos I wanted to see if I could do it (and maybe pick up some brownie points at the same time). I suppose it also pleases me to know that other people are using something I created and mention how good it is in comparison to what we had before. At our company, we don't really have a webmaster anymore so I've acquired the role as well as doing the helpdesk work at the same time. Needless to say, I did a very good job on the update, rewriting the messy scripts that were there before from scratch and also adding features for the customers to modify their personal details and see what products they subscribe to etc. :) The boss is off on holiday this week but I'll be sure to make sure he realises the improvements I've done. Sadly I don't expect to get a raise out of it as the company is performing rather badly at the moment (and has been for quite some time now).

Also downloaded many random things recently, like all of Sealab 2021 (2.75gb worth), first episodes of Nowhere Man and Astro Boy (2004) (American dub, can't seem to get a Japanese sub), all of www.tmwe.co.uk, 18 albums of Weird Al Yankovic and many more delights. I love Suprnova :D
