slycatHmm... not written here for a while so I'll begin with Monday last week.
Last Monday I had the day off work as there was a HantsFurs Christmas meal. Was a fun evening with the furs. The food was OK but nothing special. Thanks to TK if he's reading this for the presents and stuff and thanks to Torque for organising the whole thing - without him, I doubt the day would have happened.
Work was crappy as usual. Got a cold on the Wednesday and decided to take the Thursday off ill. Did me the world of good which suprised even me and so I went in to work on the Friday.
There was a furmeet on the Saturday which I was quite late in getting to. I awoke at 10am to the sound of my SMS alert on my phone. It was a message from Torque to say that he was going to be late in getting to the train station. We had previously planned to get the 10am train meaning that I was going to get up at 8am. I forgot to set my alarm and so had to set off after having a shower. I decided to wear my new Swear shoes that my borther gave me. Were a bit on the small side for me but Cabbit wanted to see them and so I wore them.
Got to the train station around 11am only to find that Torque, Ferral and co were still in McDonalds. Finally got the 11.30 train and took an amazing 1hr 45mins to get to Waterloo due to delays of the previous train.
Met Southpaw and ShyeFox at Waterloo and we had Burger King (With the exception of Shye due to him getting nearly terminal food poisoning from BK last time). Southpaw suggested getting to Kentish Town via the Thames Link as the Tube will be packed. It was a bit of a mess which meant that we just ended up getting the Tube from London Bridge - much to Torque's pleasure ;)
We were to go to O'Riley's instead of the usual venue due to it being a mess aparantly. We had used O'Rileys before. It's a bit crap in my opinion due to the lack of furniture. Someone described it quite accurately as a barn with no hay... Had that feel to it.
Anyway, I socialised a bit if feeling a bit disorientated due to the time I got there and the venue and stuff... Just didn't feel right. Lorraine, our resident bar lady introduced me to a drink called a "Snowball" which was quite nice. Consisted of Advoca, Vodka and Lemonade. Not much else happened really.
Later myself, Danath, Ace, Bhav, Rebel and Fantum went to Namco. Had a few goes on DDR. I had to take off my shoes to play as they were starting to hurt and I didn't want to see what happens when you play DDR with 1.5" soles first hand... Was OK playing in just socks but not my best :P After a bit, Ace realised that he lost his pens. His really expensive £5 a pen set. Total worth around £150 :-/ The security and staff hadn't been handed it so we feared the worse. I had to go by this time as I wasn't staying over anywhere and wanted to get a lift from the train station.
Was an OK meet but nothing special. Shame to end on a downer with Ace's pens though. My feet were really aching by the end of the day due to those shoes. I had to take them off for the duration of the journey home to releive the pain. I think I'll sell the shoes if anyone's interested as the pain isnt worth it :P
Yesterday, I went to see Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring. It was a most fantastic film. Just a shame you have to sit in uncomfortable seats for the 3hours of the film. It is also quite annoying to know that I wont be able to see what happens next until next Christmas and that's only part 2 of 3. One more year after that to conclude the story. Could just get the books I suppose :P
Got to wrap my presents today. Not got much to wrap however. Not expecting much from my parents tomorrow as I asked for stuff for my new place. I'm getting £200 towards a wardrobe and some bedding. What every young boy could wish for :oD.
I have officially no work until I move now which is quite exciting. I would have had to work today for half a day but I took the day off. I am still not prepared for the move. I need to get some boxes from somewhere... Bah. It'll work out.
