Hmm, it would seem that I havn't updated my journal at all this month yet so I guess I should rectify that situation.  So what have I been getting up to?  Well not a whole lot that has been worth writing about really.  Didn't go to the LondonFur meet yesterday because I had paid off too much cash on my credit card at the end of the month.

While my debts have certainly been going in the right direction, I have spoilt myself.  I've preordered a Sony PSP from Canada (to be released on March 24th) because I got fed up of waiting for a rock solid announcement from Sony for when they will come out here.  The latest news is that they may not be available until June at the soonest.  My brother's had a Japanese one almost since they came out and he's been very happy with it.  Ridge Racers and Lumines particularily have been fantastic.

I've preordered my Sony PSP from http://www.dvdsoon.com, a site I have used many times before for importing DVDs as they do free delivery internationally (now only available to members).  They're selling the PSP for CAD$310.  It was CAD$299 a couple of days ago but they have just put the price up.  $310 works out at £133 which in itself is pretty damn good.  However, you can get 10% off by using the coupon code TIMESMA05 which is a coupon they hid in their forums and is valid for all purchases until April 30th apparantly.  That brings it down to CAD$279 (£120), however if you buy into their membership card thing for CAD$50 (£21.50), you can get a further 10% off and also 2 free DVDs for signing up.  That brings the PSP down to CAD$248, a stonking £107!  Add on the membership card and that's still only £130ish.  Admittedly, it's likely I will get stung by customs and excise but my brother (who imports a lot and gets stung enough by customs to know how they charge) informs me that it shouldn't be much more than £20. Now the games are CAD$49.98 but with the double dose of discounts, they become £17, low enough not to get caught by customs if ordered individually.  As such, I've got Wipeout Pure and Lumines on their way to me.

EDIT: Whilst the console will be North American, the games are multi-region and so UK games will work on it. However the UMD movies will not be multi-region, but then I wont be buying movies for the console anyway.

So yeah I've been a bit naughty with my spending but unless I can sell some stuff, I shant be buying anything else anytime soon.  I've been after a PSP ever since I had a go on both the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS.  It will soon be mine, oh yes, it will be mine :).

Elsewhere, works been alright.  The boss has been on holiday in South Africa the past couple of weeks so that's been a nice respite.  Been doing my best to tidy up support since the mess caused by one of our clients going tits up a while back.  I've only had one guy helping me with the work as the other guy who had just started had been off a week due to a family emergency...  It's weird being in more of a responsible role, still getting the hang of it.

I've wasted my weekend.  I saw Hostage at the cinema yesterday which was a pretty dull film for something hyped to be the next Die Hard.  Today, I've mostly been playing games or wasting time.  I've particularily been playing quite a bit of Paper Mario 2 on the GameCube.  It's a fantastic game!

Agreed, completely. Much better than the first. (I've already completed it, including the entire Pit of 100 Trials!) :)
