I've been off work this week which has been very nice to reduce stress of work and everything.  On the Saturday, I went to Sheffield to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] furblefox but unfortunatley, there wasnt much to do so consequently didnt do much.  Left on the Monday to get my 4hr 30min train home.

Tuesday, I didn't do much but I did go out yesterday and met up with [livejournal.com profile] lazerus101 in Southampton as he also had the day off work.  Was good to get together with him as I hadn't really spoken to him much before and was able to get to know him.  We had food at the Quinzo's (or whatever it was named) in West Quay which was really nice; much better than Subway in terms of quality of bread and contents.  Next we wondered off to Cex where I got quite a find.  I got R:Racing for the GameCube.  Whilst R:Racing was a rubbish game, I got it for the free bonus disc which is Pacman Vs.  The only way to get Pacman Vs int he UK was to get it with R:Racing so it's quite rare to get a copy of R:Racing with the Pacman as people often keep the Pacman and sell the R:Racing.  We then went off to Shakeaway to celebrate my find and consume calorific milkshakes.

This was followed by a trip to Sega Park.  I agreed to have a go on DDR to work off the milkshake and also had a few goes on Outrun 2 SP which I love :).  As I was shattered from the DDRing and was sweating so much I couldnt see at times, I went back to Shakeaway and got a Sobe to rehydrate.  Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Shakeaway is the only place in Southampton to get Sobes.  I remember fondly buying them when I lived and worked in London.  My favourite was always the strawberry milk one, I forget it's name... Lizard Lightning maybe :).  After Laz bought Sims 2 University in HMV, we headed off to the cinema.  However when we got there, we decided there wasn't anything we wanted to watch on which we hadn't already seen.  I thought maybe Sahara but we didn't know anything about it and though our money would be better spent in a pub... which is where we went instead :). After a round of drinks, we went off to Laz's place and played some Xbox games before going to the train station to go home.  Not overly interesting but I had a good day.

Today I've not done much apart from pick up my PSP games from the post office.  I had to pay £7.80 on both of them in VAT and customs as the company I bought the items from didn't quote the discounted price I actually paid (which was under £18) on the package.  I also got some fish and chips and sat in the park to eat it while watching the ducks but that's not worth mentioning as it makes me sound like a grandad :P

I've nothing planned for tomorrow either.  I guess I should put things on eBay.  I still need to sell my fursuit, Sony DVD Hi-fi, many DVDs, Red Dwarf videos and loads of other random stuff.
